As of the 15th of September, 2016, we're imposing new rules regarding the use of our brands and trademarks. These new rules were announced on the 1st of September, providing a 14 day grace period.

This policy covers the names "CasperTech", "Mivvo", "PrimBay", "CasperVend", "CasperLet", "CasperSafe", "CasperUpdate", "SimpleSit", "Rez-Free", and the associated logos and imaging. The policy also covers the "Double C" logo device featured in our trademarks.

We hereby permit the use of our brand names, logos and trademarks provided they are used in accordance with the rules given below.

Rules

Use of our brand names, logos and trademarks is permitted when used on:

  • Official products or devices (including affiliate / franchise vendors) issued by CasperTech
  • News articles, blogs or social media
  • Signage, displays and marketing associated with official affiliate / franchise vendors
  • Products, services and devices which either make use of the official APIs provided by CasperTech, or are explicitly designed to operate with our products or services

Provided that the following conditions are met:

  • The use of the brand MUST NOT misrepresent or mislead in any way.
  • You MUST NOT directly associate your product with our brands, for example, "CasperLet Door Script" is NOT permitted
  • You MUST NOT use our brand names or trademarks in a fashion which is derogatory towards CasperTech or our products
  • You MAY use the terms "for" or "compatible with", for example, "Door Script for CasperLet", or "Door Script - CasperLet Compatible" ARE permitted
  • You MUST NOT use our brands together with any content which could be interpreted as offensive, or that violates the Second Life terms of service, or any applicable law
  • Brand logos or trademarks MUST NOT be modified in any way
  • Brand logos or trademarks MUST retain their original aspect ratio
